COVID-19 Update: Protecting Residents & Staff During This Challenging Time

Renaissance Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center follows all guidelines as directed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as well as our local and state health departments. We continue to adhere to the latest advisories with our top priority remaining as always to ensure the health, safety and well-being of all residents and staff.  We have implemented precautionary measures to ensure appropriate care is delivered to our residents in a safe, sanitary environment, including:

  • Screening of all staff and other health care professionals for COVID-19 symptoms, including taking temperatures, prior to the start of their shifts or before entering the facility and regular testing per state and CMS guidelines.
  • All health care professionals wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing direct care as well as during all other duties throughout the work day.
  • Ongoing assessment and care of all residents for COVID-19.
  • At least daily aggressive cleaning that includes regular disinfection of all surfaces and common touch points.
  • Limiting deliveries to designated areas and following procedures for acceptance to minimize contact.
  • The facility will continue to work with state, local and federal agencies and provide any additional updates to residents and their family members.

Mask Mandates in Long-Term Care Facilities

Although the CDC and local and state governments eased COVID restrictions for the general community, the CDC has yet to change its guidance for mask wearing at long-term care facilities like Renaissance Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. Masks continue to be required for all visitors, staff, and vendors regardless of vaccination status. Please continue to wear your mask while visiting our facility for the safety of your family member, our residents, and our staff.
