Say hello to Frank Adamson, our Resident of the Month.
Mr. Adamson was born in North Philadelphia, one of five siblings. He shared that of them, only his sister Faith is still alive, but she, his wife Tonya, and his extended family provide a strong support system for him.
Mr. Adamson’s father was the first Black owner of a warehouse distribution center in Philadelphia, owning five locations in West Philadelphia called BLT Warehouses. After graduating from Germantown High School, Mr. Adamson attended Wilberforce University in Ohio, earning a degree in Political Science. Mr. Adamson met his second wife, Tonya, in Lancaster, PA, and they have been married for fifteen years. Their blended family includes his son, daughter, son-in-law, and a grandson, plus Tonya’s three children and six grandchildren. Along with his sister Faith, the family enjoyed family gatherings and barbeques.
Mr. Adamson’s other loves include the AME Union Church which he says helped carry him through rough times, and the Philadelphia Eagles. He is a passionate fan and can not pick any one particular player because “all of them together make the team great”.
Both in the community and here at Renaissance, Mr. Adamson is known as a snazzy dresser and wows the ladies with his many outfits. Mr. Adamson enjoys socializing; but please, not during an Eagles game! His parting words: “Fly, Eagles Fly!”
